About Coach

Morgan has been a “fitness junkie” for the majority of her life. She grew up playing and competing in many sports but excelled in alpine ski racing. At 14 years old, Morgan took her talents to Vermont where she attended Stratton Mountain School (SMS), a winter sports academy focused on winter Olympic sports. Stratton Mountain School also happens to be the place where Morgan was introduced to CrossFit. CrossFit-style workouts were a norm in the day-to-day dryland sessions, and she loved every minute of them. After graduating from SMS in 2011, Morgan took two post-graduate years to continue competing in alpine ski racing with dreams of making the US Ski Team. Morgan joined the well known CrossFit New England to be in the best possible shape for skiing. “Since the first day I stepped into the gym, I was addicted. I love the community, the competition, and the feeling of pushing yourself more than you thought you ever could.”

Turning Point

Morgan attended college at the University of New Hampshire, where she studied exercise science and nutrition and was also a alpine ski team member. During her sophomore year, Morgan began coaching at two local CrossFit gyms (CrossFit Portsmouth and CrossFit Harpoon). Morgan instantly fell in love with being a coach. “Helping people achieve goals that lead to better and healthier lives is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world”. Morgan continued coaching throughout her time as a student at UNH. Morgan’s passion for fitness did not go unnoticed at UNH, she was the 2017 recipient of the Tina True Memorial Award given annually to a Wildcat senior for their commitment to strength and conditioning. After graduating from UNH, Morgan took a job back at her high school as an alpine ski coach, soccer coach, cycling coach, head of the women’s strength and conditioning, head of nutrition on the high-performance team, and a health teacher (lots of hats). She loved her job at SMS but decided to move back to Madison to be closer to her family. Shortly after moving back to Madison in the spring of 2019, Morgan and her husband, Jay, opened LeanFeast Madison, a clean eatery and meal prep service in Madison. LeanFeast focuses on making healthy eating cost-effective and convenient. The idea for CrossFit Mojo has always been a goal. Bringing it to life is truly a dream come true!
